Thriving Suburbs

Closing 26 August 2024

If you’ve got a major infrastructure project ready to go, now is the time to start preparing for this opportunity. Eligible projects must be located in the Greater Capital City Statistical Areas (GCCSAs) as defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

  • National, open and competitive program, merit-based
  • 2-stage application process: Expressions of Interest and Full Application
  • Open to eligible local governments (Councils) and incorporated not-for-profit incorporated organisations
  • Opening date in 2024 (TBA)
  • $500,000 – $15 million
  • Mandatory co-funding –  50% (Group 3), 10%-30% for specific priority groups (Groups 1 & 2). Must be cash contributions.

Telstra Footy Country Grant

Closing 7 August 2024

Funding up to $20,000 for regional and metro clubs. To help strengthen, sustain & grow local AFL footy. Read here.

Women in Industry Grant QLD

Closing 9 August 2024

Funding up to $150,000 for long-term projects to create change in an organisation or industry. Funding up to $20,000 for similar projects or events that support women’s networking, mentoring & leadership, raise awareness, or promote & attract women to work in male-dominated industries. Read here.

Redland City Council Sponsorship Programs

Closing 18 August 2024

Minor sponsorship up to $15,000. Major sponsorship up to $30,000. For initiatives that provide tangible & measurable commercial benefits to council & the community. Read here.

Redland City Council Community Grants

Closing 1 September 2024

Organisation Support (up to $5000), Project Support (up to $10,000) and Conservations grants (up to $10,000).  More info here.

Redland City Council Capital Infrastructure Grant

Closing 15 September 2024

Small capital infrastructure up to $10,000. Major capital infrastructure up to $50,000; 50% financial cash contribution required. To build, renovate or refurbish facilities, including hard-wired technology updates. Info here.

Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grant – Community Facility Category

Closing 14 October 2024

Provides funding to improve, develop, and maintain Council community-leased facilities. Grants from $10,000 – $200,000. Opening late August 2024, closing mid-October 2024. Check this link.

QLD Disaster Assistance Loans

Closing 31 December 2024

Funding of max $250,000 for primary producers & businesses and max $100,000 for NFP. Located in the Logan, Scenic Rim & Gold Coast local government areas can apply. To repair or replace damaged assets like plant & equipment, to repair premises, or to replace stock & maintain liquidity. Loan term up to 10 years. Read here.

Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Community Fund

Closing 13 June 2025

Brisbane City Council’s Lord Mayor’s Community Fund supports community projects that build stronger communities in Brisbane. Grants up to $10,000. Read here.

Australian Communities Foundation Grants Program

Funding up to $15,000. To support the organisation’s charitable purposes. More here.

Get Ready – New Grant for Brisbane Clubs

Brisbane City Council is set to announce a new grant up to $10,000 for proactive security upgrades (CCTV, alarm systems, lock systems, security screens etc). Detailed application guidelines are being finalised with the program anticipated to open in the second week of August. Monitor BCC community grants website.

Submit an Idea – School Transport Infrastructure Program

Funding of up to $500,000. For projects that improve the school safety through new/improved infrastructure including Drop & Go zones, fencing, bike paths, parking etc. Typically 50-50% funding or up to 100%. More info here.

QLD Tourism Business Digital Adaption Program

Closing 30 November 2024

Rebate of up to $2,500 & free support to improve digital capabilities. For QLD tourism operators. More info here.

QLD Business Energy Saving and Transformation Rebates

Closing 30 June 2025

Rebates up to $12,500 for small to medium businesses. To help with the costs of purchasing & installing energy efficient equipment. Rebate is 50% of the GST exclusive amount. Minimum spend of $8,000 GST exc. Read info here.

Tourism & Events Queensland Major Event Investment

For one-off recurring event. To attract visitors to Queensland and support the State’s tourism industry. Read here.
