National Landcare Award

This is the SEQwater Team at the Healthy Land & Water Awards 2018

It’s been our pleasure to work with SEQwater and Landcare groups applying for recognition through State and National award programs. SEQwater was named the winner of the State & Territory Landcare Awards 2017 for their collaborative SEQwater Source Protection Alliance project and progressed as a Finalist through to the National Awards this year. No gong on the night, unfortunately, but a fabulous outcome and recognition nationally as a Finalist.

At the same time, one of SEQwater’s Landcare protection partners also progressed from State winner to Finalist for their work in supporting sustainable farming practices and water source protection. Big Congratulations to Lake Baroon Catchment Care Group Inc., QLD who went on to WIN the Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices Award for 2018.

We also assisted SEQwater in their application to the 2018 Healthy Land and Water Awards for which they were successful in winning for their innovative Seqwater Source Protection Partnerships Program.
